After nine trial heats today, it was Gold Heart Eagle V that ended the day with the fastest qualifying time going into the finals of the $1,077,688 All American Derby finals on Sunday, September 6th. Gold Heart Eagle V ran a blistering 21:108 which was the fastest time at 440 yards all weekend.

Ratification Dominates Inaugural All American Oaks Trials

In the trials for the inaugural running of the All American Oaks, the new division of the All American created for fillies, Ratification put on a clinic and demonstrated why she is the 2020 Rainbow Oaks champion. With a slight tailwind on a fast track, the filly dominated the second trial heat beating the second-place finisher by five lengths to finish with the fastest qualifying time over the 440 yards of 21.269. No other horse qualified from Ratification’s heat.

Flashing My Pjs Impresses on Day Two of All American Futurity Finals

All American Futurity trials continued today, and the filly Flashing My Pjs was the star of the show as she covered the 440 yards today in a blistering 21.203 to record not only the fastest time of the day but the fastest qualifying time across the board. The track was fast, and a 4-16 MPH tailwind was present on a day that saw the top five qualifiers run faster times than Whistle Stop Cafe, the top qualifier from the first day of trials.

Whistle Stop Cafe Remains Undefeated and Clocks Fastest Qualifying Time on Day One of All American Futurity Trials

Whistle Stop Cafe, the winner of the 2020 Rainbow Futurity, had another great day on the race track as she won the most anticipated trial heat on day one by 1/2-length to advance to the finals of the $3 million Grade I All American Futurity that will be run on Labor Day at Ruidoso Downs. The still-undefeated filly, who ran a swift 21.615 today, comes out of the barn of Blane Wood who also had a banner day as horses from his stable secured three of the five spots that were up for grabs.

The Road To The All American Begins This Weekend

The fastest 2-year-old and 3-year-old Quarter Horses in the industry have their eyes set on qualifying for the All American this weekend at Ruidoso Downs. More than 300 2-year-olds will run 440-yards in 32 time trial heats over the course of Friday and Saturday, vying for a spot in the Grade I, $3 Million All American Futurity, the final leg of the Quarter Horse Triple Crown.
