Flashin Fire, a two-year-old gelding, overcame a sluggish last-place start to pass the entire field of horses in the final strides and win the $319,805 Zia Quarter Horse Futurity (GI) during the Zia Festival Sunday at Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino.
