HEZGOTHELOOK Z TOPS THE LIST AS TRAINER KEETON QUALIFIES THREE FOR $1 MILLION RUIDOSO FUTURITY

Ruidoso Downs, NM—Hezgothelook Z, a two-year-old gelding, ran away to a five-and-a-half length win during trials for the $1 million Ruidoso Futurity at Ruidoso Downs today while scoring the fastest time of the day, 17.494 seconds for 350-yards.

“I didn’t think the horse broke particularly well,” jockey Brian Candanosa said. “He was sort of looking around and then finally got rolling midway through the race. It was an impressive time.”

Hezgotthelook Z is sired by Favorite Cartel out of the mare Shezgotthelook by Fdd Dynasty. The gelding paid $15.40, $7.00 and $3.80 in winning the second race for the Triple One Ranch and trainer Toby Keeton.

Keeton qualified three of the five horses that advanced to the Ruidoso Futurity final on Sunday, June 9th. His winners also included TJR Flyingwithstyle in the fourth race and Poochies Candy in the tenth race.

The two other qualifiers are Electrifying Cowboy in the first race and Painted Eclispe in the sixth race.

On Saturday, five additional two-year-old quarter horses will qualify for the Ruidoso Futurity final. There will be sixteen races on Saturday with first post time at Noon..
