TRIPLE CROWN REPORT Presented by:

Hezgothelook Z Wins Quarter Horse Racing’s Triple Crown in $3 Million All American Futurity at Downs of Albuquerque

(Albuquerque, NM) Hezgothelook Z became only the second quarter horse in racing history to win the Triple Crown today by winning the $3 million All American Futurity for two-year-olds at the Downs of Albuquerque.

With jockey Bryan Candanosa aboard, the gelding held off KJ Bad Moon Rising to win by a neck and solidify a place in racing history having won the Grade-1 Ruidoso, Rainbow and All American Futurity stakes races in one summer. It has been previously done just one time, by Special Effort in 1981.

”We’re grateful, excited, happy, a dream come true,” owner Norma Olivarez of Triple One Ranch said in the winner’s circle. Norma dedicated the triple crown to the community of Ruidoso and the victims of the fires and floods earlier this summer.
