Closing day and we saw the best two-year-old quarter horses in the world in the big one and its consolation. First was the All American Juvenile for horses who did not qualify to the All American Futurity. A good field of 10 lined up and after going "head to head all the way down there" per jockey James Flores, Eye Work For You prevailed by a neck over Dulce Sin Tacha. It was another length back to Relentless Rose in third who led early and was in contention till late. "I knew it was going to come down to the wire," reiterated Flores, "but I knew
I had it right when I got to the finish line. One more jump and maybe we lose."

The All American Futurity was an eventful race, but not for the winner, Whistle Stop Cafe who now has a perfect six-for-six two-year-old season under her belt. She was quickly in front being chased by Instygator who exchanged a bump at the break and they finished much the way they were the entire race, about a quarter-length apart. Trainer Blane Wood said that "she's one of the fastest fillies I've ever trained and is all heart." Her lifetime earnings are now approaching the two million dollar mark. Inside the top four finishers was much trouble, as Caliente Caramelo drifted in and bothered numerous foes. That runner and Famous and Easy were both disqualified for interference that left numerous contenders without much shot.

Overall the meet was a great success, all things considered, and to see a filly of this caliber go undefeated this summer was well worth it.
