Summer Concert Series 2022 Begins!

Ruidoso Downs Race Track Prepares for Summer Concert Series Starting This Weekend:

Jason Boland and the Stragglers & Tanner Usrey in the Santa Fe Furniture Events Center

 

         Ruidoso Downs, NM—Ruidoso Downs Race Track will host a four-week summer concert series beginning this weekend with Jason Boland and the Stragglers & Tanner Usrey performing in the Santa Fe Furniture Events Center beginning at 7 p.m. following the races.

       The shows are being produced by Liberty Inc., a Roswell-based concert promotion company known as one of the area’s top producers of talent. It is the second season that the race track has conducted a July concert series.

       Jason Boland and the Stragglers have toured for the past twenty years, gaining a substantial following of Oklahoma-Texas music fans. The band has produced ten albums and sold more than 500,000 copies. Tanner Usrey has become a regular to the New Mexico music scene. His song “The Light” was featured in the season four finale of the Paramount Network’s hit television show “Yellowstone.”

     The concerts continue on Saturday, July 16 with Texas-born and Oklahoma-raised Stoney Larue, known as one of the originals of Texas’ “red dirt” country music.

      On Saturday, July 23, Ruidoso Downs Race Track salutes “Texas Tech Day at the Races” with the Josh Abbott Band. JAB is considered one of the most popular bands touring from west Texas, and makes their first-ever appearance at Ruidoso Downs Race Track.

     The concert series wraps up on Saturday, July 30 with Ruidoso Downs’ popular southwestern swing performers Jake Hooker and Will Bannister.
