Zia Festival at Ruidoso Downs Race Track Features New Mexico-Bred Races this Weekend

     Ruidoso Downs Race Track spotlights New Mexico-bred race horses beginning on Saturday with the annual Zia Festival.

     The Zia Festival features nine stakes races in two days. Saturday’s race card includes the $50,000 Sierra Blanca Stakes, the $50,000 Zia Stakes, the $50,000 Land of Enchantment and the $173,634 Zia Derby.

     Sunday’s race card features the $50,000 Zia 870 Championship, $50,000 Road Runner Stakes, $50,000 Zia Juvenile, $50,000 Lincoln Stakes and the $379,527 Zia Futurity.

      There will be over 60 vendors showing New Mexico and regional products in the grandstand and inside the Santa Fe Furniture Events Center Saturday and Sunday. Find a full vendor list HERE.
