Nostrangrtotherain Impressive with Seven-Length Win During Mountain Top Thoroughbred Futurity Trials at Ruidoso Downs Race Track

Ruidoso Downs, NM—Nostrangrtotherain, a two-year-old New Mexico-bred gelding broke quickly and powered home a seven-length winner during trials on Friday for the $151,568 Mountain Top Thoroughbred Futurity at Ruidoso Downs Race Track.

The winning time in the 6th race was 57.96 seconds for five furlongs. Ridden by Miguel Perez and trained by Cliff Lambert, Nostrangrtotherain advances to the June 26th final for owners Jimmy and Rebecca Powers.

The gelding previously won a $100,000 stakes race at SunRay Park in May and now has two wins in three career starts. The sire is Shame On Charlie by the mare Campfire Party by Forest Danger.

Thoroughbreds who qualified for the final include: Leave Them Behind, Rattila, and New Mexico Jeremy in the 5th race; Nostrangrtotherain, Wf Frankly My Dear and Bye Bye Heath in the 6th race; and Z Marks the Spot, Storm Leader, and Marked Money in the 7th race.

There will be a shake for the tenth qualifier for the final on Saturday between Crossfire Cowgirl, New Mexico Lindy, and Musics My Vice.
