Hezgothelook Z Wins $1 Million Ruidoso Futurity (G1) Today at Ruidoso Downs Race Track

Hezgothelook Z

Hezgothelook Z and jockey Bryan Candanosa broke sharply and led all the way to the finish line in the $1 million Ruidoso Futurity today at Ruidoso Downs Race Track to the delight of racing fans that made the young runner a nearly even-money favorite.

“My anxiety and everything from the past two weeks is away now,” Candanosa said in the winner’s circle. “It feels really good—it’s been a goal of mine to win a triple crown race. I’m very grateful and the way this horse went today I think he can do 440-yards.”

The two-year-old gelding is owned by Triple One Ranch’s Norma Olivarez who purchased the horse at the Heritage Place Sale in Oklahoma last year for $70,000. Hezgothelook Z is sired by Favorite Cartel out of the mare Shezgothelook by Fdd Dynastry.
