Dak Rolls Home a Winner in Bill Reed Memorial Stakes at Ruidoso Downs Race Track

Dak, a seven-year-old gelding, pulled away in the stretch to win the $50,000 Bill Reed Memorial Stakes today at Ruidoso Downs Race Track by nearly four lengths.

     Owned by Blue Star Racing and trained by J.J. Gonzales, Dak won for the ninth time in his career and the fourth time at the 870-yard distance. Gerardo Vera guided the gelding home in a time of 45.383 seconds. The gelding paid $9.00, $5.00 and $3.60.

       Racing action for closing weekend continues on Sunday with the running of the $1.2 million All American Derby, $715,000 All American Oaks and the $100,000 All American Invitational. First Post is Noon.
